Providing Care for the Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Patient
Transgender and gender non conforming patients present to specialty clinics as well as primary care clinics for a variety of healthcare needs. In providing gender affirming care, the specialty clinic as well as the primary care clinic will enhance engagement in care for this often disengaged community. After attending this presentation, the participant will be able to engage clients in more gender affirming care in their clinical practice.
Objectives:
Use gender appropriate pronouns with staff and clients.
Identify medications used and recall and recognize those medications with possible side effects and need to be monitored.
List criteria for gender transitioning medical care.

Atopic Dermatitis: Stepwise Management from Moisturizers to Biologics
International and national consensus guidelines outline AD management. Biologics are for treatment of moderate to severe AD when disease fails adequate control with topical prescription therapies or other basic therapies. This presentation will highlight current peer reviewed information published by this speaker over the past 3 years as well as national guidelines.
Objectives:
Inform current national and international guidelines of step-wise management of atopic dermatitis (AD).
Highlighting use of basic management including moisturizers, other topical treatment, and wet wrap therapy in AD management prior to systemic therapies. (RX).
